Birthing Yourself Process Workshop

There are two Birthing Yourself formats. The groups are limited in size to five participants.

In Person Retreats are facilitated by Janet Evergreen and Tonya Ridings with assistants present. The group meets for three full consecutive days, 9am – 6pm. 

Zoom group meets weekly for 5 weeks facilitated by Janet Evergreen with one or two assistants

Participants have the opportunity to heal and re-pattern early experiences and then bring this healing to their current primary relationships and life. Each participant has an approximately 1.5 to 2.5 hour turn to explore her/his own physical and emotional patterns from prenatal, birth or early origin. The whole group is present and often supporting with some form of contact, as each participant has a turn. These turns are followed by a brief sharing from each group member, integration and discussion. Not all turns involve prenatal/birth/attachment themes. Each turn is unique and participants may also make important discoveries from other periods of their life. The intention of each participant is the guiding theme for the individual turn.

Safety is established through interactive principles for the participants to actively support each other throughout the workshop. This group creates safety and a nurturing container to do deep inner work. This format was created by Ray Castellino and Myrna Martin to support transformations which can happen in a small group setting. The time allows space for integration of material from the turns, and each person will receive a debriefing time, usually the next meeting day after their turn, which further supports integration.

This workshop is also helpful for professionals who wish to experience the profound changes possible with group presence, at times embodying family constellations for healing of prenatal, birth and attachment issues. This is directly applicable to most professional therapeutic practice involving the healing arts. Participants need to arrange to attend the entire workshop, and are encouraged to include the day before as a day of preparation and the day after as a day of integration.
